Den Nationale Scene Den Nationale Scene (The National Venue of Theatre, in Bergen) is Norway's oldest permanent theatre with roots in Det Norske Theater, which was founded in 1850 by the Norwegian violinist Ole Bull. The theatre was founded to develop Norwegian playwrights, and Henrik Ibsen was one of the first Writers-in-Residence and Art Directors of the theatre.

Carte Blanche Established in Oslo in 1984 and relocated to Bergen in 1989, Carte Blanche is the national company of contemporary dance.
Carte Blanche produces a minimum of 3 new choreographic works a year and performs an average of 4 - 6 productions per year. Guest choreographers, designers and musicians are invited from abroad as well as from the Norwegian scene.

Immaturus Student Theatre Immaturus was founded in 1990. Since then the organisation has grown to become one of the largest student theatres in northern Europe, and now has more than 100 members. Immaturus is primarily run by students and is based on volunteer work. Immaturus offers a wide range of theatre-related activities.
